<robin> Google Apps weirdness - I have a regular Google account with
myname@mycompanyname.com and I can login with it in Google talk (and
other service like calendard, mail etc.) just fine. Our company
decided to use Google Apps and now although I have the same username,
the distinction in login URLs keeps my accounts separate. However, in
case of Gtalk, there is no option to let me select if I want to login
to Google Apps account or regular Google account, so basically my
personal Google account can no longer be used with Google Talk :(

You are right, for the most part. Although, we have no inclination to become twitter or even come close. My goal is to have a system which can be used by people to publish any kind of content easily and also get feedback and discuss etc. .. all in one place. That's all.
I have not found any issues with the "remember me" setting. Maybe you've got cookies from the beta version of the site. If you can clear your GeoGum cookies and then try, it will help us diagnose the issue.
